Farina, Peter J. age 88 of Totowa at rest in Wayne on September 2, 2016. Beloved husband of the former Diana (nee Mazzonica) Farina. Loving father of Peter P. Farina. Dear brother of Rose Tarangelo and the late Dorothy Shater, Pauline Bianco, and Ralph Farina. Born in Manhattan, he lived in Manhattan for 7 years, then in Brooklyn, before moving to Totowa in 1958. He was the owner of Rug-O-Rama Service, Totowa for 55 years before retiring in 1992. Mr. Farina was a member of the American Legion Post #227, Totowa VFW Memorial Post #10104, St. James Knights of Columbus #6574, and the Totowa Happy Seniors. He was also an avid New York Giant fan and he loved playing bocce with his group of friends. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral from the Festa Memorial Funeral Home, 111 Union Blvd., Totowa, on Thursday at 9:00 AM. Funeral mass to follow at St. James R.C. Church, Totowa, at 9:30 AM. Entombment at Calvary Cemetery Mausoleum, Paterson. Relatives and friends may visit Wednesday 3-8 PM.
