Obituary of Giuseppe Scaramia

Scaramia, Giuseppe age 85 of Totowa passed into heavenly rest in Wayne on June 10, 2016. Born in Santa Croce Camarina, Sicily, Italy, he came to the United States in 1959 and resided in Paterson before moving to Totowa. He was a Shoe Designer for Q.T. Shoes, Paterson then for Aeris Isotoner, NY, then with Goldberg Shoes, Hackensack before retiring. Mr. Scaramia was a member of the Santa Croce Club, Hawthorne and was a parishioner of St. James R.C. Church, Totowa. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. He was an avid gardener, a man of faith, and a kind hearted friend to all. Beloved husband of the late Rosetta (nee Macri). Loving father of John Scaramia and the late Maria Josephine Scaramia. Dear grandfather of Vincent, Anthony, and Meghan Scaramia, who were the light of his life. Devoted brother of Salvatore Scaramia and his wife, Giovanna, Giovanna Leone, & Maria Guarino and her husband Gerard. Brother in law of the late Ovidio Leone. Survivors include many nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral from the Festa Memorial Funeral Home, 111 Union Blvd, Totowa, on Monday at 9:00 AM. Funeral mass to follow at St. James RC Church, Totowa at 9:30 AM. Interment at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Totowa. Friends may visit Sunday 2-6 PM.
