Murphy, Jr., James J. "Jimmy" age 69 of Totowa at rest in Paterson on January 30, 2015. Beloved husband of the late and former Barbara Miller (2014). Loving father of Kristin B. Rivera and her husband Wilfredo of Totowa. Dear grandfather of Anthony, Samantha and Gianna Rivera. Brother of Carol Effenberger of Mine Hill, Judith Kammerer of West Milford and the late Thomas Murphy and the late Maureen Lupo. Also surviving are many nieces and nephews. Born in Paterson, he lived in Paterson before moving to Totowa in 1993. He was the Director of Ambulances for the Paterson Fire Department, Paterson for many years before retiring in 1993. Mr. Murphy was a Navy veteran of the Vietnam War. He enjoyed time spent with his family, especially his grandchildren. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a funeral service at the Festa Memorial Funeral Home, 111 Union Blvd., Totowa, on Wednesday at 10:00 AM. Interment to follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Totowa. Relatives and friends may visit Tuesday 4:00-8:00 PM. For more information, go to www.festamemorial.com.
