Obituary of Carmen Burgio

Burgio, Carmen J. age 78 of Totowa at rest in Totowa on January 25, 2015. Beloved husband of the former Eileen Willocks of Totowa. Loving father of Mark Burgio & his wife, Beatrice of South Carolina, Jacqueline Burgio of Randolph, Michele Laborsky & her husband, Marc of Kinnelon and the late Matthew Burgio. Devoted brother of Katherine Schroeter & her husband, Peter of Totowa and Lois Burgio & her husband, John Scarano of Montville. Caring grandfather of Jack, Julia, Alexa, Jared, Joseph, and Lila. Born in Paterson, he lived in West Paterson, then the Stony Road Section of Paterson before moving to Totowa in 1976. He was the Owner and Registered Pharmacist in Charge for Burgio's Pharmacy, Totowa since 1970. Prior to that, he worked for, then became a pharmacist for Martucci's Pharmacy, Paterson since he was 8 years old. Carmen was a 50 year member of the Passaic Valley Elks Lodge #2111, Totowa and was a member of the Knights of Columbus Council #240, Woodland Park. He was a member of the Garden State Pharmacy Owners Association. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the services at the Festa Memorial Funeral Home, 111 Union Blvd, Totowa, on Saturday at 7:00 PM. Cremation will be private at the request of the family. Friends may visit Saturday 3:00 - 7:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Deborah Heart & Lung Foundation and/or St. Joseph's Hospital Cardiac Unit would be appreciated.
