Obituary of Robert Delacruz

Delacruz, Robert Sr., age 84 of Paterson at rest in Paterson on January 20, 2015. Beloved husband of the late Olga Delacruz (2002). Loving father of Elizabeth Valderrama and her husband Jairo of Coral Springs, FL, Maria L. Delacruz of Dayton, OH, and Robert "Bruce" Delacruz of Carlstadt. Dear father in law of Teresa Delacruz of Paterson. Adoring grandfather of Carol Aguliar, Paul and Tatiana Valderrama, and Brandon Delacruz. Robert is also survived by 4 great-grandchildren; a brother, Alex Delacruz of Paterson and a niece, Carmen Delacruz as well as many other nieces and nephews and his beloved pet dog, Coby. Born in Lima, Peru, he lived in Lima until 1968 before coming to the United States and residing in Paterson. He was a Foreman for S.B. Thomas Bakery, Totowa for over 30 years before retiring in 1995. Mr. Delacruz was a hardworking, honest and humble man, and he enjoyed time spent with his family, especially his grandson, Brandon. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the services at the Festa Memorial Funeral Home, 111 Union Blvd, Totowa, on Saturday at 10:00 AM. Interment to follow at East Ridgelawn Cemetery, Clifton.
