Azar, Alfred age 97 of Boynton Beach, FL. at rest in Atlantis, FL. on October 11, 2014. Beloved husband of the late and former Mary Rabahie (1988). Loving father of Rosemary Kattas and her husband Louis of Morristown, Diane Azar and her husband Stephen Woinicki of Long Valley and Michael Azar and his wife Gretchen Moe of New York, N.Y. Dear grandfather of Paul Kattas, Ronald Kattas, Shane Giunta, Hunter Woinicki, Danielle Azar, Natasha Azar and Isabella Azar. Great Grandfather of Alexandra Kattas, Victoria Kattas, Ethan Kattas, Natalie Kattas, Aaliyah Evett and Leon Evett. Dear brother of Eleanor Apone of St. Petersburg, FL. Also surviving are many nieces and nephews. Born in Paterson, he lived in West Paterson for most of his life before moving to Boynton Beach ten years ago. He was a Machinist for Curtiss - Wright Corp., Woodridge, for forty years before retiring. Mr.Azar loved to dance, and was an avid bowler. He also loved to fix clocks, watches and a variety of floor and table lamps. He also built radios and speakers from scratch. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a graveside service at the Laurel Grove Cemetery, 295 Totowa Road, Totowa, on Saturday, October 25, 2014 at 11:00 AM. Family and friends are to gather at the Laurel Grove Memorial Park office at 10:30 AM. Interment of cremains to immediately follow service. Donations may be made in memory of Alfred Azar to St. Stephen Antiochian Orthodox Church, 609 Lane Avenue, South Plainfield, New Jersey 07080.
