Obituary of Teresa Mary Canning

Canning, Teresa Mary (nee Gutierrez) age 84 of Wayne at rest in Paterson on July 6, 2014. Beloved wife of the late John Canning. Loving mother of John Canning and his wife Stephanie, Madeline Gambatese and her husband Michael, Mary Ann Kaminski and her husband, Douglas, Kathleen Torres and the late Elaine Canning, Carol Vacca and Manny Canning. Sister of Ralph Gutierrez and his wife, Mary Ann and the late Manuel Gutierrez. Aunt of Richard Gutierrez and his wife Giovanna and the late Anthony Gutierrez. Best friend of Miriam Torresola. She is also survived by 18 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and 2 great nieces. Born in Paterson, she lived in Paterson for most of her life before moving to Wayne 11 years ago. She was a Homemaker. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral service at the Festa Memorial Funeral Home, 111 Union Blvd., Totowa on Friday at 11:00 AM. Interment to follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Totowa. Friends may visit Thursday from 4-8PM. In lieu of flowers, donations to the family would be appreciated.
