Loving Mother of Karen Portaro of Pompton Lakes and Benny Amato of Paterson. Sister of Patricia Abbott of Island Heights, James Mahon of Whiting and the late Elizabeth Leonard, Jack Mahon and William Mahon. Grandmother of Alyssa, T.J., and Joseph. Born in Paterson, she was a lifelong city resident. She was a Medical Assistant for Dr. A. Ged, Paterson for many years. Mrs. Amato was also a homemaker. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral from the Festa Memorial Funeral Home, 111 Union Blvd, Totowa, on Tuesday at 9:30 AM. Funeral Mass to follow at St. Gerard R.C.
