Cortese, Margaret M. (nee Farrell), age 93 of Ringwood at rest in Manhattan, NY on July 11, 2010. Beloved wife of the late John Thomas Cortese (1984). Loving Mother of John Cortese of Branchburg, James Cortese of Hackettstown, Margaret Elmquist of NY, NY and Joseph Cortese of Ringwood. Sister of the late Nona Etchells, James Farrell and Dot McNamee. Survivors include nine Grandchildren and six Great Grandchildren. Born in Paterson, she lived there before moving to Ringwood in 1958. She was a Registered Nurse for Chilton Memorial Hospital, Pequannock, for twenty years before retiring. Mrs. Cortese graduated from St. Joseph's Nursing School, Paterson, in 1939. She was a WW II Army Veteran. Relatives and Friends are invited to attend the funeral from the Festa Memorial Funeral Home, 111 Union Blvd., Totowa, on Wednesday at 9:30 AM. Funeral Mass to follow at St. James R.C. Church, Totowa at 10:00 AM. Interment at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Totowa. Friends may call Tuesday 2-4 & 7-9 PM.
