Zurburg, Gebhard age 89 of Paterson at rest in Kingston, PA. on January 17, 2010. Beloved husband of the late and former Gladys Steiner. Father of Susan M. Mc Laughlin and her husband Edward of Wantage, Robert Zurburg and his wife Susan of Sunbury, PA., Gebhard Zurburg of Fair Lawn and the late Karen Zurburg. Grandfather of Robert, Brandon and Gebhardt Zurburg and Kim Chavez and Allen Mc Laughlin. Also surviving are many nieces and nephews. Born in Forked River, he lived in Paterson all of his life. He was a Maintenance Engineer for St. Joseph's Villa, Englewood Cliffs for many years before retiring in 1986. Mr. Zurburg was a WW II Army Veteran who served in Central Europe as an ambulance driver, a gunner and a rifle marksman. He received the European African Middle Eastern Medal, the Good Conduct Medal, and the Purple Heart. He was a parishioner of St. Gerard R.C. Church and a member of it's seniors club. He was a fisherman and loved to travel. He was dedicated to his family and grandchildren. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral from the Festa Memorial Funeral Home, 111 Union Blvd., Totowa, on Wednesday at 9:00 AM. Funeral Mass to follow at St. Gerard R.C.
